Although every member (Youth or Adult) of the Troop attends their home church and are not members of FBC Corinth, there can be no teaching or proselytizing that is contrary to the Statement of Faith provided by Trail Life or committee decision.
All members are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that adheres to the TLUSA Oath & motto. For more information on the TLUSA correction process, please read the Adventurer/Navigator Leader Guide
Our Troop utilizes Physical Training (pushups, planks, jumping jacks, running) as part of fitness and attitude adjustment, much like athletics in school. However, corporal punishment is not to be used under any circumstances. All verbal comments and any disciplinary approach should remain constructive and positive. Discipline should occur in the presence of an adult witness.
We expect good discipline at all troop functions. An ill-behaved Trailman or Troop Member is a distraction to all and, worse still, a danger to themselves and others in some situations. The Troopmaster will handle situations that arise promptly and equitably and will take appropriate action. Any member removal is a committee decision and a last option.
Stealing, fighting, firearms, explosives (including fireworks), use or display of pornography, illegal drugs, and/or alcohol will not be tolerated at any time. In the case of any illegal behavior, the local authorities will be contacted.
